Jim and Shannon had an amazingly gorgeous wedding at the Octagon House in Washington Twp. They had worked hard, creating the perfect combination of a rustic and warm wedding ceremony and reception, complete with mason jars for drinks and camouflage koozies to keep all of the drinks cold. Both Jim and Shannon got ready at the Hyatt Place on Hall Rd, and quickly moved the party to the Octagon House.

We took some photographs in the Octagon House while Shannon waited for Jim to arrive for their first look. Shannon’s bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and made by one of her bridesmaids. It was handmade and included knitted and burlap flowers. It was so unique and I just loved them! Shannon looked amazing in her wedding gown and Jim couldn’t help but get a big smile on his face when he saw his bride for the first time. It’s these moments that make my job rock!!

As the guests started arriving and taking in the decorations of the barn, you could feel the excitement building. Everyone quickly took their seats where the ceremony was set up and you could just tell that there was a lot of anticipation for Jim and Shannon’s big day. Their wedding consisted of a nice and intimate ceremony, complete with matching shots (yes, alcohol) for the bride and groom instead of the traditional unity candle. They definitely put their unique spin on the entire day and made it their own, which I absolutely loved! Afterwards, we went around the property and took photos with their wild and crazy bridal party. Shannon wanted “goofy” photos, so I obliged and we were able to capture some pretty crazy photographs of them and their friends. The reception started off with a bang and kept on going all night throughout dinner and all of the formal dances. Their guests sure did know how to party!

Congratulations again to both of you Jim and Shannon. I wish you both the best!
