So here’s the back story…I met Erin, along with her sister Lindsay and their (now our) friend Kim in a pool bar in Put-in-Bay where our friend Jeff Gurney was playing for the weekend a few years ago. There, of course, was absolutely no alcohol involved that weekend (NOT)! Anyways, we all spent the weekend partying and left with promises to keep in touch.
Luckily, we did! I was fortunate enough to photograph Lindsay’s wedding a few years back and I was thrilled when I heard that Erin had gotten engaged to Matt and asked me to be their photographer! Talk about a laid back bride. Except for a minor hiccup earlier in the day, which will surely be looked back upon in the future with a laugh, the day was perfect. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony and photos outside afterwards. Later at the reception, we had some of the best fried chicken and ham that I think I’ve ever had for dinner. After Erin and Matt had cut their cake and had their first dance, their friend serenaded them-and really did a kick butt job-and then the party was in full swing. I couldn’t believe how full the dance floor was all night!
Congratulations you guys. I love you Erin. Matt, you’ve got a keeper!
